Italian-made Yoga and Pilates accessories prove high fashion can be functional

Mibospi Yoga Bag

Padova, Italy

After today, you will never look at yoga bags the same way.

Mibospi, a luxury yoga accessories company, recently launched the designer’s premier collection.

Inspired by the need for a bag that can be carried all day long, they are designed so yoga or pilates can fit stylishly into a modern lifestyle. Handcrafted in Italy and made of sumptuous leather and rich brown canvas, they redefine the look, feel and functionality of a yoga bag. Head designer and founder, Jennifer DePodesta, created the bags after tiring of traditional sport and yoga bags in nylon with bright colors that clashed with her everyday style.

Already a favorite among celebrities such as Denise Richards and Lauren Conrad from MTV’s “The Hills,” the look is so versatile and attractive women who do not practice yoga use it as an everyday bag.

The collection is made up of four yoga bags, a cashmere meditation blanket, and a leather carryall. Pieces from the 2008 collection can be purchased at www.mibospi.com before they become available at select retailers, spas and hotels in the US and Europe.

Love it! I generally hate yoga/pilates bags because they are too wide or just plain ugly. This looks lovely and is functional–yay!

  2. Wellington says:

This article reminds me of the pilates bag my wife bought for me but I thought it was a purse lol! Needless to say we picked out another bag!

  3. These bags are beautiful, and I agree with Lynda — they’re usually so ugly. Now, if only they’d come up with a diaper bag that didn’t make me feel like a preschooler!

BTW, I just discovered your blog while looking for yoga blogs; it’s terrific, and I’m enjoying reading through some of your older posts.

    Thanks, Rachel

  4. Some wonderful bags here. They look so elegant. And they were featured on “The Hills”? Wow – what better testimonial than that for a person looking for designer accessories right? You’ve got a great blog here. Bookmarked!

    Cheers.

  5. Wow, looks so lovely. Love it. As most of the people I generally hate yoga bags. But this is simply in a another dimension. Looks great and if really useful. Thanks for the information.

  6. Wow! The bags are really stylish yet functional. I wouldn’t mind carrying something like those on my way to yoga class. I might even sport it to a mall after that.
