Right about now, chances are you’ve got a bit of the winter blues. Its easy to feel this way, as many do, immediately after the holidays and early into the New Year, but here’se a great tip for an easy pick me up!
Anticipate spring by forcing flower branches to bring a bit of color indoors. Any of the wide variety of bushes, shrubs, and trees will do, including forsythia, crab apple, quince, plum, cherry, dogwood, priver, red maple, gooseberry, weeping willow, or witch hazel. Simply cut the edges of the branches on a slant, with scissors or knife, and plunge immediately into a vase of warm water. Change the water every few days and the warmth of the house will do the rest!
Soon you will be seeing those spring colors emerge and just like a breath of fresh air…..for an instant SPRING! ;0)
